Europe-Australia Dialogue

Since its inception in 1998, The Global Foundation has facilitated an ongoing dialogue between Australia and the European Union, seeking to build closer ties with its member nations and private sector leaders.

Sponsored by its corporate members and benefactors, and arranged by the Foundation as a philanthropic, privately funded, second track initiative, the EU-Australia Dialogue enjoys the support and participation of the Australian Government, the European Commission, the respective national governments of Europe and an increasing number of other bodies, including think tanks and multilateral institutions.  From its Australian roots, the Dialogue has evolved to become a unique high-level forum for trusted discussion and debate about the constructive dimensions of the relationship, including the expansion of bilateral cooperation but also in jointly addressing strategic regional and global concerns.

As well as sending delegates to engage with representatives in EU member countries, The Global Foundation regularly hosts senior European figures in Australia.
